Adult Ancona Duks For Sale!
Yeah, I know you are thinking, "Those are chickens!" Yes, there is a breed of chicken called an Anonca, but there is also a breed of duck that shares the same name.
There are fewer than 500 Ancona ducks in the United States. They are an *outstanding* layer, and are excellent foragers. This medium sized bird is an eyecatcher in any flock! The Ancona can be either Black, Blue, Chocolate, Lavender, Silver, or Tri-color (any two) and is mixed with white. The bird will have a speckled/patched pattern all over the body, and no two birds are patterned alike. This breed was developed in Great Britain and is considered to have been developed from the Magpie.
We currently have for sale:
Black Drake (old)- Fair Waterfowl County Special 2008 Winner- Pet Only! $10

This breed is not currently recognized by the American Poultry Assoc., although the standard is supposed to be added into the Standard of Perfection in the fall of 2009!
We also have a Mallard/Ancona cross drake- GORGEOUS BIRD! He is marked like a mallard, but is a light blue over the body, with a dark purple-blue head, and a neck ring. He is a stunning bird, just don't have room! $20
