All are welcome to participate in immigration themed Digital Photography Storytelling Workshops on October 24 and 25, 2009, at Pier 21 in support of Canada Code.
Pier 21, The National Film Board of Canada and The Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympics Winter Games are partnering to deliver Digital Storytelling Workshops to encourage Canadians to tell their stories through photographs.
Canada CODE is a unique website where people can post photos and stories about their lives to create an online portrait of Canada and its people. During the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympics Winter Games, Canada CODE will hit the big screen for the world to see.
Participants will learn to take effective digital photos, interpret stories from images, create storyboards, and more! Pier 21 is offering two FREE workshops:
• Educator Workshop (open to teachers and educators) on Saturday, October 24 from 10am-5pm
• Adult Workshop (open to the general public) on Sunday, October 25 from 10am-5pm
