Due to allergies of chinchilla bath dust and hay, I have to part with my 3 chinchillas. I have had the darker ones since 06-14-2009. They were both bought together from a breeder in Maryland. These two are male and female; they of course have been caged separately. According to the breeder the male was born 04-02-2009, and the female 04-07-2009. The additional chinchilla is a female standard gray with bright white fur underneath. She was bought from PetSmart just shortly after acquiring the very young ones. I am not sure of her exact age, but would figure she is about 1 year old. I have had her caged with the other female for three weeks now. I would prefer to sell them all together, though I will sell separately. I have three cages, food, treats, large amount of apple sticks, hay, hay cubes, few new containers of dust bath, one bathhouse, one exercise wheel, playpen, two granite slabs, wood blocks, 5 water bottles, misc extras if needed.

I want these pets to be treated well, interacted with daily, and part of the buyer’s family. These animals are very social and have been treated with the best care and attention possible. Please make sure you will be able to commit many years of care and time for them. They are young and can live 15 to 20 years! They deserve to be happy in their captive environment. Please do some research on the Internet to be certain that this type of pet is for you. Initially when I researched chinchillas I found that they are hypoallergenic. Though the dust bath and hay that they require are allergic irritants to some allergy sensitive people (as I found out later on).
