Looking for a new home for a 5 year old male cockatoo. Not your typical 'too - he talks a lot for a 'too and does not do the morning/evening 'too scream. We're finding that two birds is one too many... He does not mind the chaos of our home full of cats, kids, a large dog and a macaw. While he loves affection, he is not a cuddler. Loves to be petted/scratched and doesn't mind entertaining himself during the day while we work. He does need someone that can work with him as he does not automatically step up or down.
He will come with his large Cal Cage, playstand, carrier, and all his remaining pellets and accessories.
Cockatoos are sensitive birds and while he isn't a plucker or overly sensitive it will take a few weeks for him to warm up to new people and a new home. Has shown a preference for women although in our house, he warms up to almost everyone. Would be a good choice for someone looking for a first large bird but is up for the challenge of a large parrot. He was hand fed and is banded but like I said will require some training on stepping up/down.
