Elvis is a fun loving little clown. (have not had him sexed, just call him a him). Appx 3yrs old. Bought from a local reputable breeder who had local vet certify health at that time. He loves his people. Loves to sit on your lap and snuggle like a cat. He will even sit quietly by your head when you take a nap. He loves to be where his people are, even if in the pocket of your sweatshirt. He gets along with cats/dogs as long as they get along with him. Hand raised and will step up when asked. He absolutely loves his scratches and lets you know when he wants them. Senegals are mimickers; he knows his whistles and sounds. Trying to talk, but these birds are not known to be clear talkers, although he is trying. His wings are growing out, can re-clip if new parent doesn't want him to fly. Will also send along bird tricks training DVD's/cd set over a $75.00 value, 2 ice cream buckets of pellet food, vitadrops. His cage will go with him as well as “toys”, extra perches, feeding dishes, etc. You may want to check with your local humane society- they sell cages really cheap when they have them. Cage he has now- is perfect size but a bigger one may be helpful if you cannot let him out daily. He has chewed the bottom clips off this cage so it cannot be hung unless ya duct tape it LOLOL. Looks kind of well um, because I have attached stuff to cage to help catch seed. I do have him on a 2 drawer cart that I use to store his stuff in, easy to move to sweep floor.
Do your research. This guy is a GREAT bird! We have had to lock him up because of our bird dog. One too many close calls. He wants to be with me so bad sometimes that he flies down off his cage, calling and walking trying to find me. He does a little dance in his cage when he really wants attention. (Hence the name Elvis) He loves his scratches, kisses and yes BATHS. He will take a bath in his water dish if ya don’t give him one. I usually give him a bath in the sink with the sprayer about every 3-4 days. He actually likes it. He is not getting the attention he wants and deserves, my health is failing as well- need to rehome. He is NOT a biter, nibbler- yes, but NOT a biter. Asking $350 rehoming fee- With all I have invested in him… is actually about half, considering all that comes with him and because of his people oriented personality. This guy is perfect for a newbie with birds as well. I’d say great for kids over the age of 9? Easy to maintain and take care of. People who have had or has birds, knows the value of a friend/companion/pet. He will NOT disappoint you. May be willing to negotiate for the right people! Elvis will let me know right away upon meeting. I know him and his habits etc so well, that it’s almost as if he is my kid or something LOLOLOL.
His main diet consists of the mixed veges and his pellets/some seed mix including peanuts and almonds
