Phoenix is roughly a year old. She was found tied to a tree in the woods and then was bred to the guys pitbull that found her. I got her when her pups were 3 weeks old.

She has done excellent with me, my children and all five of my dogs. My Sheltie was pregnant when I retrieved Phoenix. Now that she has had her puppies they fight all the time. I was going to put her down, but I just couldn't do it. I understand it's a "mother" thing that is going on here. But I cannot afford to lose my AKC Sheltie. I took her in as a favor to a woman who needed help. They cannot have her, and I cannot take the chance of losing my dog. Phoenix still does wonderfully with all my other dogs and my family. A guy who studies dog behavior told me it is because they are both mothers. I try to keep them apart but for some reason my sheltie always seems to get out of where she is locked up.

I would like her to go to someone who knows the breed better than me and can give her the life she deserves. Please, I don't want to have to put her down. She doesn't deserve it at all. She is more partial to females over males. But it's only certain men I have noticed. It's like she can pick up a "vibe" that isn't right off the ones she doesn't feel comfortable around.

Thank you for anyone who can help me.
