1 male-female unrelated pair of parrotlets, approximately 3 months old.
1 mature Fallow green male, 1 year old
1 young male, 3 months old
2 female solid yellows, 3 months old
Hand tamed, no biting
Very quiet species, incapable of screaming.
Can learn to talk (very softly) with frequent interaction and encouragement from caregiver. *Best talkers are single birds as pairing bonds them to other birds rather than the owner.
Safe with children.
Love to swing from bars of cage and play with toys.
*Parrotlets in general eat more for their size than even the larger birds like macaws. They will not tolerate being forgotten and running out of fresh food and water. Always check supplies at beginning and end of day.
*Require 12 hours of sleep each night for mental and physical well being.
*Maturity is reached at 1 year of age, but best to wait 1 1/2 years on "family planning."
*Have a good supply of cuttle bone on hand as they devour one medium-sized bone each week. This will ensure adequate calcium (especially for nesting hens).
Green $80 each
Yellow $150 each

*More babies just hatched last week, expecting greens and maybe split blues
