I'm seeking the perfect home for my dog. He is an almost one year old AKC sheltie.
This ad isn't going to give you all the physical details because I have no intentions of selling him to anybody that I haven't met and had the opportunity to learn about where my dog might be going. I will say that he is beautiful and healthy.
If you are looking for the absolute most perfect family pet, than please feel free to contact me. I realize this is an odd "for sale" ad, but I won't rush into selling him, and I won't sell him at all unless I know for a fact that the home he goes to will be better able to care for him than I can.
He is happy. I was going to say that he is almost always happy but I couldn't think of when he wouldn't be happy except when I was trying to comb out his hair - he likes the brushing because that part doesn't deal with tangles. The comb means yanking and sometimes scissors. He gets really bad knots of hair just behind his ears sometimes. That's a very sensitive area for him so I'm bad because I tend to avoid brushing him there. Not to mention that's always where we rub when we pet him. I'd call him semi-hyper (meaning: he is very eager and excited but calms eventually after asking him to - or immediately if you pet him on the back of his neck), never met a stranger (meaning: loves everybody), will bark loudly if somebody new invades his territory and isn't introduced to him.
He loves his outdoor walks, and loves his long leashed, short termed time outside in the backyard. Please note that what I just wrote meant that I don't have an entirely fenced in yard, so I sometimes let him run out in the back on a long lead for a few hours ONLY. He is and will always be an indoor dog.
