1961 Studebaker 3/4 ton Pickup
This 1961 Studebaker 3 4 ton truck from California was restored in 2007. It drives like typical 3 4 ton trucks of the 1960 s. The engine is a 1971 Chevy 350 rebuilt with all new parts including Edelbrock intake and 600 CFM carburetor, Accel electronic ignition, new alternator, cam and dual exhaust. The Turbo 400 transmission has a Doug Nash overdrive which is left in O D due to the 4.10 ratio of the Dana 70 rear end. Brakes are power drum type with a Bendix Hydro-Vac booster. The interior was redone with AutoMeter gauges, new radio and tape player, 4 speaker system and a dash pad. A Class III hitch was installed. Tires are excellent, glass is all new and sale includes original dual gas tanks and original rear end as well as service manual, parts manual, catalogs and literature. This truck would make a nice advertisement for a business or a nice addition to a collection. Studebaker started the trend of car-like interiors with the Champ pickups. This vehicle is ready to be driven anywhere and does drive nicely and pulled a car trailer with no problem at all. The mileage listed is mileage since completion of restoration so it is just started to be broken in. The vehicle has been kept inside since restoration and not driven in bad weather Northern Indiana location. This vehicle was restored by an individual with a history of over 60 years of hot rod and vintage car building and restoration experience and you will have to look for a long time to find a better vintage Studebaker,
