I recently purchased a female Eclectus parrot from a local bird store. She is extremely quiet, sweet, and well-behaved. She does not make a lot of noise, except for the occasional "hello", (she is beginning to talk, but is still young). She also goes to bed right when I shut the light off, and does not wake me up in the morning. She is the perfect parrot. However, my pet dog and tight schedule do not allow me to care for my bird as well as I wish I could. Although I have extreme pet allergies (my dog is hypoallergenic), my parrot does not trigger any allergies, despite the fact that she lives in my room with me! It has been said that this is true with many people- Eclectus parrots are as close as a hypo-allergenic parrot as you can get.
My parrot is perfect for a first-time bird owner, or even an experienced bird owner. Both she and her cage are for sale (price is flexible). The cage is a nice sandy color, complete with two perches, a Parrot Boing (this is what she sleeps on), and three toys. There are three feeding bowls inside the cage, and a perch on top of the cage with two feeding bowls. Please e-mail me!
