How much is that doggy in the picture???
So cute, so many good things stated about this dog/puppy. IS IT TRUE? A reputable breeder will be able to show you health testing done on the parents before breeding.heart, hips thyroid. Check the AKC or CKC website for standard. Should the dam have been bred? How many litters had she had? Was she white? Do you know the health problems associated with boxers? Does the breeder? A good breeder can go over their dogs lines with you. Tell you how long they lived, what they died from, the health in the lines. Has the breeder ever shown their dogs? Is the pup registerable? According to the CKC/AKC guidlines the pup must be registerable, in order to be advertised as a purebred.
You do not have to pay extra for registration that is illegal, you are to recieve all pups info. when you purchase including registration info. not pending not extra.
Anybody can say anything or mislead you into trusting them. Don't believe what you read in an ad just because they said it's so..... The proof is in the documentation, the research, the investment reputable breeders put into their dogs. Why pay for a dog that will have problems?
Yes it's sad, someone has to love them, but until we stop buying from backyard breeders, there will continue to be health problems and many unwanted pups. Please do your homework, ask questions. As Oprah says ""Listen to your inner voice". If it sounds fishy it probably is. There are many reputable breeders out there... You may have to wait, they may cost more, (although a lot of backyard breeders are catching on and charging more for their pups). but at least your inner voice will be happy.
Ask the breeder for references from previous puppy owners. Please, please be careful....You're not buying a disposable pup, you're adding a new member to your family.
