The Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier enjoys games, especially with children. Most take pleasure in meeting strangers, whether people or other animals. He will greet friends with great joy, and loves to go places with the family. The Wheaten is a quick learner, with a steady mind, and likes plenty of exercise every day. The Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier is active, but not hyperactive. It is always eager to make new friends. It is alert and watchful, cheerful and curious. Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers get along well with children and other animals, provided proper socialization has taken place.
Is abundant and wheaten-colored and falls in soft waves in adulthood. Puppies are born black, but lighten to the final adult wheaten color by about two years of age.
