JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for an innovative, forward thinking confident
person, with a solid understanding of ASME Sec.VIII Div 1 Code and previous
experience with quoting and estimating and who is enthusiastic about being an
integral part of our estimating team. This position reports directly to the
General Manager.
Responsibilities may include, depending on experience,
quoting highly
engineered and heavily specified projects from customer’s
drawings and
specifications. SGE has extensive quoting tools which the
individual will be
trained to use. Individual should have experience reading
specifications and
taking them into consideration when preparing a quote.
Experience in the Waste Water Treatments, Power, Petrochemical, Food and
Beverage, HydroPneumatic, HVAC, Municipal marketplaces is helpful.
When
asked for pricing this individual must translate a customer's request into a
comprehensive, accurate quote while keeping in mind the company's profit
targets. Communication with all departments is critical.
JOB
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provide quick response to customers.
· Interpret
customer drawings and specifications to facilitate customer
discussions and
provide comprehensive accurate quotes.
· Estimate vessels, internal and
external components, and painting/lining to
meet customer needs and applicable
code requirements for manufacture in SGE's
Fabrication facility.
· Remain
aware of shop capabilities, constraints and material lead times in
providing
quoted deliver dates to customers.
· As time permits develop business for
engineering firms, contractors,
Distributors and end users within the HVAC,
Oil, and Gas, Food and Beverage, and Chemical and Pharmaceutical industries.

Remain aware of sales opportunities and areas of potential growth
utilizing
and capturing upon the existing strengths of SGE.
JOB REQUIREMENT:
·
Understanding of ASME Sec. VIII Div Code a must.
· Minimum of 2 years sales or
estimating experience with ASME pressure vessels
and associated equipment.
·
Bachelor's degree a plus, with preference to degreed
Mechanical/Civil
Engineer.
· Strong analytical and organizational skills.
· Solid Word and
Excel skills.
· Self starter, motivated, works well under pressure.
