To make sure you don’t have any problems in the future with your kitty you must have written landlord permission if you do not own your home. In order to pick up the cat or kitten you need to have your own carrier to transport the cat safely. One important thing to consider is that in order to adopt you must agree to keep your cat indoors or in a safe outdoor cat enclosure, this is for the safety of your new friend. You must agree not to declaw the cat (if scratching is a concern, take a look at SoftPaws which are available at the shelter or most veterinarians) and keep in touch with SCAT if you have any questions or concerns, or if for some reason you are unable to care for the cat for any reason, return the cat to SCAT.
