We purposely bred our purebred female Akita to our purebred male Husky for several reasons.
First and foremost, we thought they would be beautiful puppies and dogs (they are spectacular).
Second, we wanted to keep spme traits of each breed and lessen other traits. For example, Huskies are known to run off on their own, whereas Akitas are homebodies. Akitas are prone to a very high prevalence of thyroid condition which causes their fur to come out. Besides all this we wanted Akitas with blue eyes.
On 6/9/08 Lotus had 9 puppies! They will be ready to leave our home after approximately 7 weeks. We are now accepting deposits, and pick of the puppies will be in order of deposits received. Last litter went fast and there were not enough for everyone who wanted one.
