Girls Incorporated of York Region is currently looking for volunteers to help us organize and advertise our upcoming event "29th Annual Howl on the Hill Run/Walk" taking place on Sunday, October 26/08. And.....I would LOVE your help!!
Meetings are once a month; we are looking for fun, outgoing people who are willing and comfortable to get involved in the community.
Girls Inc. is a non-profit organization that inspires young girls (ages 6-18) to be become Strong, Smart, and Bold. We do this through a variety of programs we run in schools, or from our office, and through summer camps. Our programs are focused on six critical areas of development:
- Careers & Life Planning
- Health & Sexuality
- Leadership & Community Action
- Sports & Adventure
- Self-Reliance & Life Skills
- Culture & Heritage
