It saddens me to say that I have been missing out on one of the most powerful results getting marketing systems that I have encountered in my ten years of marketing online. The shame is I have been a member of this system on and off since its inception but never bothered to fully understand its capabilities until I read in a forum how another member had signed up 4,057 free members all promoting his links. This does not include the people in his downline all promoting his links for free. So I decided to study Linkscout in depth and now it is the main link that I promote to make money online using affiliate programs. You can literally sell anything with a link or URL because you can add your own categories.
Linkscout is an excellent automated viral marketing system if you are promoting or would like to promote lots of affiliate programs. Discovering the many ways you can use Linkscout will take some due diligence but is well worth it, especially if you can see the inherent value in setting it up properly. When I first joined Linkscout, I setup a few ClickBank products paid $10.00 to become an associate and received 15,500 points. I assigned points to each keyword for my affiliate links and thought that was all to it.
I did receive a few hundred hits and a sale every now and then but not what I had expected. Then I stumbled across a forum where a Linkscout member was making big money with his Linkscout suite, Websites and affiliate programs. Everyone was asking how he did it and he stated that he just used his Linkscout signature in forums and advertised it as Free Advertising all over the net. I figured it had to be more to it than that, but never the less I have since started to advertise my Link everywhere I can and in three short weeks my sales have increased above my expectations. I am receiving thousands of hits for my links. Plus I am getting new free signups that advertise my links for me.
This inspired me to join many new affiliate programs that reflect the categories at the top of my Linkscout suite. This way my Suite, which is really a multi layered (search engine) would not look too empty. This is the mistake I see some members making, only promoting 4 or 5 programs. The heavy hitters are promoting at least 100 different programs with their Linkscout suite. If you are going to advertise your link, which will take people to your search engine, why not setup as many programs as you can on ongoing bases to give content to your search engine?
I have noticed that some Linkscout members do not assign many points to their Linkscout links, I figured this is because they are promoting their Linkscout suite mostly outside of Linkscout which is an good idea to drive traffic to your suite. If you do not become an associate by purchasing points, your sponsor’s links will show on your pages because you do not have points assigned to certain keywords. Not to worry, your links will also be displayed on your suite and others that you refer.
I also check my stats often and remove links that do not perform well and replace them; I just keep testing and researching what is selling by finding the most popular keywords. Google announced a major upgrade to the Google (External) Keyword Tool — it now gives actual numbers of searches, instead of vague logarithmic green bars. This now makes it very cool for figuring out what people actually search for. Health appears to be the number one search term in Linkscout with Affiliate programs trailing second. I discovered this by clicking “more keywords” at the top of my suite. As a Linkscout associate you can have the link categories at the top of your suite link to your programs only and prevent others members links from showing in your suite. I debated on whether I should do this because one of the good things about Linkscout is that we all advertise each other’s links. With over 70,000 suites that can be a lot of exposure for your links so I decided to leave it off.
If keywords are searched on that you do not have points for, or depending on how many points you assign to your keywords the results displayed will be member’s links with the highest keyword points first. If someone went to your suite and searched on vitamins and you do not have a Health Category, they will see the links of the members who promote this category or have points for these keywords showing along with your links. If you want to get results displayed only for your links and your categories, you will need to setup your categories and affiliate directory programs. Then turn off the option to display other member’s links. You can do this under the “My Categories” link under the Associates menu and use “My Affiliate Directory” to enter your affiliate ID’s into the Linkscout database. Most of the popular programs are already there. If your Affiliate program is not listed you may add it. Product images for these programs will rotate as a featured product on your home page with your link embedded. You may also upload as many banners as you want that will rotate at the top of your suite and setup sponsor boxes with your favorite links.
The more categories you can setup the better, you will most likely not have a program for every category initially. Plan to eventually have plenty of programs for each category and set up new categories as you find new Affiliate programs to join. Each day I add a few new programs and market my Linkscout link. Researching what other people are promoting in Linkscout is a good way to see which programs are pulling, you can judge by the number of clicks under each link, (You see this only when you perform a search or click on a category). You may also perform a search on Google for “affiliate directories” or the “best performing affiliate programs” in order to find new programs to promote.
To stand out from the crowd, some members register their own domain name and direct it to their Linkscout suite. I think setting up a blog with a link to Linkscout would be much more search engine friendly since search engines do not put much stock in redirects. By setting up a blog, you can enrich it with your Linkscout categories and keywords.
The Linkscout FFA pages really work because your suite has categories and you can set up a special auto responder message that goes out to everyone that posts a link to your FFA site. You may also enter your own links in your FFA site.
You can make money as an associate and earn 50% from everyone who joins through your link and upgrades to associate. If they do not upgrade your ads will be shown on their pages along with theirs and anyone they sign up to infinity. There are other features of the Linkscout suite like surfing for points, email capture and click statistics.
Linkscout is great for people who want to make money online but do not have a lot of time to spend on marketing. Being persistent in promoting your Linkscout link is the secret to creating a downline that will help promote your links and get lots of exposure for your programs. Be inventive and use your own ads, instead of the ads that everyone uses that are provided by Linkscout.
Submit your Linkscout link to the search engines at least once per month. At Google it is best to do this manually the first time.
