CEDAR NEEDS A FOSTER HOME!!!
Cedar is a 2 year old male german shepherd, who was surrendered by his family because they could not properly care for him.
Cedar is a loveable boy who is a wonderful pet. He is good around older children (aged 12 and older), but small children make him somewhat nervous. He gets along with other dogs - although he can be somewhat bossy! He can play fetch for hours, and he LOVES to jump and chase after water from a hose - what a goofball!
Cedar does tend to be stressed in new situations - meeting new people, new dogs, etc. So we are hoping to find an experienced owner for Cedar, who can spend some time working on getting him more socialized. He also is protective of his 'property.' A fenced yard is a requirement at his new home.
***** We had Cedar's hips checked, as we noticed some problems in his gait, etc. This poor guy is walking around with 2 destoyed hip sockets! Surgery on both his hips will be done by MARS, and is currently being arranged. But any new foster or adoptive home will need to commit to nursing him through these 2 surgeries.
Please see our website at
www.midwestanimalrescue.org for additional details, and FOSTER/ADOPTION applications. Adoption fee required. Midwest Animal Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Adoption fees help cover the cost of medical care that these animals need, including; vaccinations, spay and neuter, heartworm testing and more! Thanks!
