This is Mindi, I bought her JUST to get her out of a very bad pet store!. Her original owner (a gal that worked at this very pet store) had her for 5 yrs in a VERY small breeding cage the entire 5 yrs-no toys or nothing!(one probably meant for breeding lovebirds)The gal never even had the birds sexed,she just kept putting birds together and hoped for babies! I now have her and she now will allow us to hold her ( no petting though) and she takes treats from our hands ( she even reaches down near our couch to ASK for treats). She FINALLY plays with toys when she was originally terrified of ANY toy I put near her. Mindi is wonderful but she doesn't talk-she only 'chirps' but she does it as though she is talking with us-and she LOVES music (the louder the better but nothing too slow). Mindi 'chirps' back and forth when I talk to her or sing to her (by the way--she LOVES music and to be sung to!!!!!) Mindi has turned into a wonderful family member but she ONLY likes who SHE likes Mindi never squaks or hollers. She is VERY quiet-even her 'chirping' Mindi needs a chance at a good life with a permenant family. If you give her a chance and end up up unhappy with her- I will buy her back (full amount). Mindi is great and I love her dearly! I know everyone's #1 question is "if she is so great-why sell her?" the answer is: I have health issues that keep me in bed for days at a time most weeks and even though I have cages set up right next to my bed-they still seem confused and depressed each time I wake up. Another great thing about my birds is that I ONLY close their cages when I am not home (or bed ridden) and I ONLY do that to keep them safe from my 5 dogs and cat. Mindi (unlike my other birds) will NEVER leave her cage! I have her set up so that she can climb HOWEVER she wants to but no matter what-Mindi has NEVER tore anything up (unlike some of my other birds!)
Please give her a chance--you can't lose, I will buy her back if you are unhappy! The price is negotiable-I don't want money to stand in the way of her having a forever loving home BUT I also don't want people to lose perspective of just how much money I have in her and to ask for her to be free or some rediculous amount.
