Ad #674431 - here's what happens when you stop cooking!
These unique bird houses were hand-crafted from cooking pots, otherwise destined for the dump. The pots will welcome house wrens & other smaller birds to an exciting new place to build a nest. (Yes, we’ve actually had birds live in the ones at our house!). A wooden front (lumber from a demolished barn) been secured to the pot with screws, a unique perch was selected from the salvage, & a recycled metal roof was created to prevent rain from going inside.
Once the young have hatched, cleaning out the bird house is simple—just loosen the screws to remove the wooden front & remove the nesting materials. Once the front is secured again, it will be ready for the next nesting season.
