Description:
Meet Duchess!

Duchess has been with her family for about 3 years, and up until about 6 months ago was a loved member of the home. Then the family got a new, cute little Min-Pin puppy, and lost interest in Duchess. Duchess was deemed an 'outdoor dog,' and was banished to the back yard. She missed her family, so she started jumping the fence to be near them. This only got her put on a chain, where she now resides all day long. She rarely receives attention from the family, and the only walks she gets are from the kind neighbor.

This same kind neighbor intervened when the family told them they were going to 'get rid' of Duchess. She contacted rescues, and we were happy to help find Duchess a home where she'll get the 'royal treatment' that she deserves.

Duchess is spayed and housetrained. She is playful, and sweet as the day is long. Loves, loves, loves people and lives to go for walks. She is a little shy and can be timid when meeting new people and dogs - but once introduced and she feels safe, she's very friendly. She is not at all dominant and if a strange dog comes up to her she will try to make friends, but if they appear the least bit aggressive or hostile, she'll back away and retreat. She's wonderful with children. She has never been around cats, so we do not know her behavior towards them.

Can you give Duchess the loving home she deserves?
