Conviniently located near Ackerley Campus at "Le Carrefour" School we serve the Dartmouth and Halifax community for Kyokushinkai Karate practitioners, beginners and advanced, alike.Members may attend as many classes as they wish. Beginners can join at any time and are encouraged to work with senior (sempai) students during classes in a mentoring environment.
Adult classes are held three times per week for 1 1/2 hours each, with classes for the whole familly as well as for Knockdown team training.
Junior classes (7 - 12 year olds) are held twice a week for an hour each.
Training follows traditional and modern Kyokushinkai Karate methodology, focusing on
- Kihon (basics)
- Kata (coordinated sequence of movements)
- Kumite (sparring).
We also provide students with effective but simple self-defence technics. We value self respect, discipline and equality.
