Do be wary of companies and agents that are unlicensed. There are some operating in our area. It is a third degree felony in the State of Florida to work as a real estate broker or sales associate without the proper training and a license issued by the state. Whomever you choose to work with, make sure that they are licensed and working for a reputable company. It is also illegal for companies and individuals to place ads that do not state the name of the company and at least the last name of the licensee.
