Note caps on downtube derailleur axles that are being used for the stem-mounted shift levers. Same caps are for STI Shifters. Do you have the knowledge & mechanical skills to DIY? You'll need to be familiar with modern componentry, able to do the gear alterations (8 or 9 gears to match the STI indexing). This bike has the engineering flexibility for future alterations if desired.
