A pentacle to open doors & remove hindering obstacles
Seal 20 - The First Pentacle of the Moon - It is believed this seal invokes the angles whose names are engraved upon to help in opening doors and removing obstacles, both physical and spiritual ones, (like the obstacles created by the “Evil Eye”). The seal needs to be carried close to one’s body. Old traditions relate to this seal as the 1st pentacle of the moon, a star sign associated with travels, missions and navigation (particularly sea voyages), reconciliation, and love.
This talisman is made from .925 sterling silver and measures 4.5cm in height. The seal part measures 2cm * 2cm. The seal hangs on a 45cm sterling silver hallmarked chain. Differing from all other known seals, the 20th seal is square shaped with Hebrew phrases and words engraved on it. The pattern on the seal itself seems to resemble a bolted door, with the holiest name of G_d, (Jehovah, YHVA or in Hebrew , engraved in bigger letters in the centre of the door.
The top engraved line and the one that is under the holiest name of G_d completes the phrase:
This verse is taken from Psalms 107:16 and translates to:
“For he hath broken the gates of brass and cut the bars of iron in sunder”
On the second line from the top, above the holiest name of G_d, are iterations of ‘The Name’(). The bottom shows the names of four angles: Schioel, Vaol, Yashiel, and Vehiel.
