2005 Honda Element EX
I am the original owner and have been meticulous about maintenance. This car is mechanically flawless. Records available. New tires (Uniroyal Tiger Paws) and I just replaced the rear struts. Brand new custom front seat covers from WetOkole (www.wetokole.com).
This car has served me well, but I am moving to NYC and can't keep it. Otherwise I would not be selling. There are a few scratches and dings in the body, which is why I am selling below the Blue Book price, but these are strictly cosmetic issues. Very clean interior.
This car runs and drives great and will for many many miles to come. If you're interested in an Element presumably you already know this, but this is a great car for someone with an active lifestyle or anyone who wants a reliable, bigger vehicle that still drives like a car. Highway MPG is about 25.
The Element will handle New England winters with no problem and take you off-road with ease. It's perfect for surfers, kayakers, mountainbikers, or anyone who needs a vehicle that can get wet and dirty without leaving an impact. I've used this car on a regular basis to go skiing and kayaking, and the interior is like new - that's part of the charm of the Element. Four guys and a dog with gear for a week of adventuring fit easily. And there's tons of cargo space with the back seats removed, so it's like having a small pickup truck for those occasions when you need to haul something big and heavy.
The best part is that it's a Honda, so you know it will run forever as long as you do the routine maintenance. This vehicle had an after-market Thule roof rack, which I've removed. If you want to put a rack on, the Thule "feet" - which are attachment points specific for an Element - are yours. There is no radio antenna on the car (knocked off), but this just means a diminished signal range. It would be $196 to repair at a Honda dealership, and this is reflected in the list price.
