We rescued a 17 month old St. Bernard. She was emaciated and covered in scabs from fleas. The people that we got her from said that they saved her from people who had her tied to a tree and only fed her once a week. We took her to the vet and somehow she was still able to recover. She is currently on antibiotics that she is done with in about 2 days. After that she is fine on that. It was a safety precaution because she wouldn't really go potty. Now she is doing great - eating just fine, acting completely happy and normal. She is a wonderful dog. She is great with my young children, loves puppies and even loves cats and kittens. I haven't introduced her to an older dog though so I wouldn't know how that would go. She has the sweetest personality, she is just so loving and appreciative toward us for saving her. She is completely house broken. She does not chew. She no longer has any scabs, just dry healing skin. She has had 2 great flea baths and totally cleared up. I have only had her for about 1 week and she is a totally new dog. Whoever gets her is very lucky. I am asking $100 to recoup some vet costs. She still needs to gain weight, but is doing great with that already. She is going to be just fine with the right amount of TLC
