2005 ford explorer xls advance trac/rsc 4x4
hello buyers. as you can tell i am selling my 2005 ford explorer. i just purchased this car in january of this year when i first moved to the poconos and used it mainly to tool around the area while i was learning my new surroundings. i have made a few trips to nj and ny in this vehicle. this was purchased with 112k miles and since purchase i have moved it up to 120k.
state inspection was also done just before purchase so it doesn't need to be updated until at least next year. this suv vehicle handles well. it's my first one but it definitely won't be my last.
sound system sounds good but it's the stock system. cosmetically, the vehicle is in great shape with very few scuff marks and scratches besides that. the only real cosmetic problem that is even noticeable is that the front bumper on the passenger side is cracked leaving a sideways v there. all the plastic is there and can probably be patched up easily enough but i don't know that much about it. i was told by my mechanic that this is common with plastic bumpers on this vehicle and was probably due to the cold causing the plastic to shrink freeze and then crack.
vehicle was inspected by mechanics at "jack williams" in milford. just had oil changed and has brand new tires on it the tires haven't even hit 5000 miles yet and the warranty i have at jack's for them is lifetime, yes lifetime! these are not just any tires i've been told, they are one of the "best consumer tires" and not exactly cheap.
gas mileage is good - i usually get about 395 miles per tank doing 80% highway 20% city.
