If your interested in stud service for your female or just want to be prepared for her heat cycle
there are a few things you must do to prepare, you can not wait for the last minute
1 proof that she is up to date on all shots.
2.must be on a monthly heartworm prevention like heartgard
3.must be flea treated,external application (Advantage or Frontline)
or Oral Pill (Comfortis) ex small 5-10 lbs
I pay $ 10.00 each for either one at the vet
I take them outside to break and the shampoos do not prevent fleas
4.vet checked for brucella
You should then consider your dog to be in - season or in -heat, for 21 days, just to be safe. Add an extra day or so,
at the end just to be very safe. Always, watch males reactions to her, and her reactions to them.
The female needs to come with her; dish and food for up to 10 days.
