audio system: original infinity stereo/ c.d. with 100% functioning steering wheel remote audio controls. a sub woofer and amp has been professionally installed in the rear luggage area. great sound system. mechanics: the 60 k service was performed including the replacement of the timing belt & water pump. the transmission and clutch are brand new. the engine runs on "mobile one" & purrs like a tiger. all mechanics are in excellent condition. the maintenance has been performed at a very high level. wheels: chrome oem original, excellent, no peeling.has one scrub mark. stats & info: the vr4 is powered by a well built 3.0 l 24-valve, twin turbocharged, twin intercooled v6. it produces 320 hp at 6000 rpm & 315 ft-lb of torque at 2500 rpm with 12 lb/square inch of boost. to help control this surge of power, the vr4 uses a getrag 6 speed transmission. from there the power is sent to the 4 wheels through an all wheel drive system composed of a center viscous coupling unit sending torque to the open front and the limited-slip rear differentials. the viscous real time 4wd system, is from where the term "vr4" comes. under ideal conditions, the system transfers 45% of the available torque to the front and 55% to the rear, however the viscous center can send up to 95% of the torque to either axle. the " 4 wheel steering" system turns the rear wheels 1.5 degrees in phase with the front wheels at 30 mph or more to improve high speed stability & performance. along with an incredible suspension system and luxurious interior, the vr4 was road tested and compared along side ferrari and porsche, coming in with impressive results. overview: she runs strong, shifts smooth and literally corners like it's on rails. the ride is exhilarating as she is beautiful. the custom paint color is exquisite, resulting in frequent complements. there is no question that the vr4 has become a high performance special interest collector car. the market recognizes this and the rarity of a fine low mileage example. as always, the pricing will soon begin appreciating, making today's price a terrific buy.
