Hello, Our family just lost our Great Dane a few days ago to cancer and is looking for a Geat Dane female in the near-future. We're not in an extremely big hurry because we are still grieving the loss of our beloved family member, and also want to be selective and not buy from a backyard breeder or puppy mill.
Also want to buy one in the Ohio area because we want to see what environement our future family member came from. We will not buy from a pet store, backyard breeder, or puppy mill. Period. (We can travel to Ky if we have to pick our girl up there.)
We do want a mantle, but are willing to take a merle. A harl or fawn would remind us too much of other family members we have lost in the past few years. (We had another Great Dane, who lived to be nearly 14 years and passed away 3 years ago.)
We have a family vet and references. We also have a fenced in yard, and dog-obedience training set up for our new baby. (Yes, she will be extremely spoiled. I've been known to cook my four-legged kids' breakfast.) If this sounds like a family you would sell a dog to, you can email me @
