From: Dave Angel (Author of "The Parenting Autism Resource Guideâ)
Dear Parent,
If youâd like to have a better understanding of the reasons behind your autistic childâs behaviors.....
So you can help your child more and take some of the pressure off you and the rest of your family then this could be the most important letter you ever readâ¦..
....Look after 11 years working in social work with autistic children and their families I know about the many challenges and frustrations that you are facing with your autistic childâ¦.........
.......One of the big problems is that you really want to understand what is going on in your childâs head so that you can do the best possible job for themâ¦
But getting the right answers and help to do this just isnât always that easyâ¦..
I have had so many parents just like you asking me questions such as........
* "Are there different types of autism and how is it best treated?" *
* "Will my child ever become normal, like other children ?" *
* "What consequences will I be facing in the future with my autistic child?" *
* "Where can I get get help for my child?" *
and a thousand other similar questions besidesâ¦â¦.
So I have decided to put up this website to help parents like you gain a better understanding of your autistic child.............
and I will tell you more about the interesting story of how this all came about a little later onâ¦â¦.....
Comments from Karen Simmons (Founder of the Autism Today website and mother of an autistic child) about this resource:
"I wish I would have had a tool like this when Jonny was first diagnosed with PDD and subsequently autism. Whatâs really great is that parents donât need to start from scratch, instead they can piggy back on the experience of others who have gone before them. Truly a fantastic starting point."
Karen Simmons - Founder of, Autism Today and mother of 6 children (2 with special needs)
Alberta, Canada
But first of all I will show you â¦......
How you can begin to understand and cope with most behaviors that your child may haveâ¦â¦.
How you can use simple and proven methods for helping your child to become happier and safer.....
How you can use proven techniques to improve your childâs ability to deal much better with day-to-day life.
Now I want to be crystal clear with you at this pointâ¦â¦â¦..I am not offering you the CURE to autism because as I am sure you know at the present time there just isn't one............
So to offer you this would be both unfair and impossibleâ¦â¦â¦.
â¦â¦â¦.and frankly people who try to offer "autism miracle cures" do make my blood boil (but thatâs a whole different story that I will touch on a little laterâ¦â¦..)
But what I do want to share with you is some really valuable information and practical tips that you can use straight away to start making life a little easier for yourself, your autistic child and the rest of your family........
First of all I will begin by taking you by the hand and guiding you through the tried and trusted techniques for coping with the wide range of difficulties and problems that you and your child are likely to face.
I will show you how you can soon master the skills that you need to communicate more effectively with your child and enable your child to communicate more effectively back to you.....
.......I will teach you all the tricks, tips and techniques you need for helping your child to develop and build real life social skills.
I will also give you the true facts on a range of important autistic topics like:
Signs and symptoms of autism....
Treatments and âcuresâ....
The different types of autism on the spectrum....
Dietary interventions....
Related health conditions....
Is autism hereditary?....
And a whole lot more besidesâ¦....
In fact if you donât learn how you can improve the life of your autistic child and your familyâ¦.
.......how you can better understand and communicate with your childâ¦...and also gain a whole load of new skills for helping your autistic child to develop in a number of great waysâ¦â¦â¦â¦..
....you get to keep this entire resource for free just for trying our methodsâ¦â¦â¦.
.....so as you can see you have nothing to lose and a huge amount of effective and simple-to-follow autism tips and techniques to gain.....
But I know you may be now thinking.......
" Well that's all great but it sounds too good to be true because nobody has all the answers....."
And guess what? You're absolutely right......
Like I said earlier I am not offering a complete cure for autism and I am not trying to claim that every single thing that you will ever need to help your child is in my book.......
No-one ever could or should truthfully claim that.......
But if you are looking for the answers to a whole bunch of questions that you have about your autistic child then I am confident that you can benefit from my help........
Look for the past eleven years I have worked with hundreds of families who have children with special needs and I have developed a special interest in Autism.....
Over these years I have been disturbed by the amount of pain and heartache that having an autistic child can bring to some families........yet have noticed that for other families it is a joyous gift that they nurture and treasure......
So I decided that I wanted to find out more so that I could help the families that were suffering the most.......
I went out and interviewed over 100 families to find out what their biggest problem was with parenting an autistic child...... and guess what I found?
.......The funny thing is that even though I interviewed families from across the world, they were often experiencing the same kind of problems no matter where they lived.
So my extensive family research told me that some of the main problem areas for families were.......
Coping with their child's difficult and aggressive behaviors.....
Being able to communicate with their child.....
Understanding the causes of autism.....the diagnosis of autism and also the different types of autism.......
Health problems like the right type of diet for their child.....
And finding the real truth about autism treatments and "cures".
So I figured that what parents were looking for was a complete and comprehensive guide packed with practical tips and explanations all about their autistic childâ¦.
And not some stuffy, old academic text book filled with long fancy sounding words that no-one actually understands or uses in the real world!
So I got together an expert team which include Parents, Clinical Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Autism Specialists and Special Needs Teachers to make such a guideâ¦â¦â¦â¦
Using the methods that I am going to share with you in this book you can go from a situation where your child may be having behaviors that are really difficult to manage, be extremely unsociable and so unreachable that it leaves you pulling out your hair and crying in frustrationâ¦â¦â¦
â¦â¦..To having a much better understanding of why your child behaves as they do, how you can change this and effectively communicate with your child.........leaving you and your child feeling so much happier.
In short, even if everything that you have tried before just didnât seem to work, I can show you how you can understand and change your childâs difficult behaviors so that everyone benefits and how you can communicate with your child like never beforeâ¦.
Let's be honest about thisâ¦â¦
If you donât do anything to learn new ways to help your autistic child, do you think your situation will get any better on its own?
To be quite blunt I don't think it will.
In fact itâs very likely that things are getting to get a whole lot worse over timeâ¦..
Because your childâs best chances of learning to communicate and change some of their behaviors effectively are whilst they are still young......
.....the older they get the less chance they will have of developing these essential skillsâ¦..
..â¦leaving both you and your child with a huge divide between you that will become more difficult to bridge with every passing day.
Difficult behaviors also need to be worked on now because every day that passes makes those behaviors more and more ingrained in your child and much less likely to ever be changedâ¦â¦..
And donât forget that your child is still growing and that people in society are much less tolerant and forgiving of a bigger child or an adult, than they are a small childâ¦.
....because bigger children can cause much greater pain and harm when they are violent and aggressive.
Social skills are vital too as they help your child to get along in the worldâ¦â¦â¦
.....at the moment your child probably hasnât got these skills and so keeps on judging situations wrongly (at least in the eyes of the world at large) causing upset and pain for your child and othersâ¦â¦.. â¦â¦â¦..pretty soon all of these difficult experiences can turn into a vicious circle for your child where they have bad social experiences, then lose all their social skills and confidence.....which leads to more bad social experiencesâ¦â¦â¦..
â¦..For example if your child finds it hard to cope with too many things to see and too many noises all at once and so suddenly lashes out in a busy classroom, supermarket or family partyâ¦..
.....your child will very quickly be classed as a âtrouble makerâ and shouted at by people to âcalm downââ¦..which will likely only make matters worseâ¦..
â¦â¦and make your child even more tense and likely to get upset the next time they are in a similar busy place.
But think about this insteadâ¦â¦..
Imagine your child becoming more able to communicate their thoughts and feelings to you so that instead of having a temper tantrum every time their routine changes, you can quickly reassure them and they will happily carry on along their merry wayâ¦â¦
Now imagine how great it would feel to be able to go to parties and other social events with your child secure in the knowledge that you will be able to respond in time to most problems that ariseâ¦â¦..so that they wonât get so upset that they wreck the jointâ¦â¦â¦â¦.
Finally imagine what a great comfort it will be for you to have the tools to work out and understand most behaviors that your child may display, so that you can react in the right way to prevent a crisis when itâs looming.
Now I would imagine thatâs something that you could really benefit fromâ¦â¦â¦.
You are now about to discoverâ¦â¦â¦
Simple and proven techniques to stop your child's difficult behaviors so you can attend social functions without fear and worry.
The quick and easy steps that you can follow to understanding your child's behaviors without having to pay huge $$$$ for a private therapist.
How you can improve your child's communication skills and give yourself a closer relationship with them.
Which autism treatments really work and which are a waste of your precious time, energy and money..........and leave you feeling ripped off and angry inside.
The real truth about diagnosis, diets, health problems and the different types of autism (that will save you hours of frustrating and boring research on the internet).
So why should you listen to me?
By now you may be wondering who I am and why I am making these claims about helping you to parent your autistic child!
Well, let me introduce myselfâ¦â¦â¦..
My name is Dave Angel and I am the author of the âParenting Aspergers Resource Guideâ E-book which is a guide for parents of children with high functioning autism and Asperger's Syndrome that I wrote last year
..........and the last time that I checked I have had 39,668 parents and family members of high functioning autistic and Aspergers children visit my website for help (if you are interested it's (www.ParentingAspergers.com).
I am also a social worker with over 11 years real life experience in the field working with families just like yours and a Masters Degree in Applied Social Studies.
Like I mentioned earlier I also have an expert team working with me featuring a number of professionals.
In particular I have a UK Chartered Educational Psychologist (who received her Masters in Psychology at the University of East London) and who has more than 20 years experience as both a Special Needs Teacher and Educational Psychologist. She is working with me on behavioral and psychological issues for autistic children and their family.
I also have a medical doctor from the USA (who received her Medical Doctorate from the University of Minnesota) who has more than 15 years experience in medicine and who works with me on the medical side of autism.
So with these guys and me alone there are 46 years of real life professional experience going into the book.......and that's without even considering the other parents and professionals that have helped me......
OK that all sounds good but if you're such an autism expert why haven't I heard of you before.....?
