Condition:

On March 9th, 2012 the aircraft sustained damages when the elevator controls became stiff and the aircraft landed hard and nose gear first. The unit skidded and exited the paved runway surface and came to a complete stop on hard terrain at the edge of bushes. As a result the following damages were reported. The salvage includes the avionics and instrumentation, rudder, radome and windshield. The engines were not subject to sudden stoppage inspection nor repair. During survey, avionics and instrumentation equipment were removed for safeguarding. Please see photos attached that illustrate the cockpit, following the removal of the avionics and instrumentation equipment. Photos also illustrate the avionics and instrumentation equipment safely stored. Both engine propellers sustained damage. Nose and main gears detached from fuselage. (R/H) and (L/H) wings flight controls heavily damaged. (R/H) and (L/H) Engine nacelle damaged and exhibit wrinkling of the upper skins. Physical damage was observed in the belly skins and undercarriage. The left horizontal stabilizer was most likely impacted by one of the gears when they became detached. Also, the horizontal stabilizer is loose at the attachments points.
