message limmymama about this ad These were hatched and bought in August so should be laying in (January) real soon, I thought I'd need them but the ones we bought in April are laying to many eggs so don't need these. These are shades of blue (some might call them grey This was why I bought them, They are sex linked chickens or hybrid. At one day they can be sexed. The father is a Blue Plymouth Rock and mother is a Barred Plymouth Rock. They are lovely blue colors, friendly character, and excellent layers. They lay around 290 in a year. They need extra calcium in their diet. I always feed oyster shells to all my chickens to help prevent soft shells. I have around 30 available. I live in Edwardsburg, MI.
