message snohomish10 about this ad I have a 1 1/2-3 year old GSD mix. He was found abandoned in Lumberton early last year at a fishing spot late one night. He was either freshly dumped, or hadn't been there long. His name is Marshall, and he is a sweet, spirited boy. Intact. He gets along with all other dogs, but does not do well with food on the ground when other males are around. Shortly after obtaining and deciding to keep him (I now had 3 dogs at the time, one being him my father passed away unexpectedly and I had to take on 2 older family dog's. Months after that, my older cat was diagnosed with diabetes. I lack time, and Marshall needs to be the main character in someone else's story. He DOES have prey drive and energy that needs to be worked, but leaves my fenced in show rabbits and chickens alone unless he gets bored and you don't pay attention. He will eyeball new cats funny, but has been taught to leave mine alone. He knows "leave it and "lay down I can't lie, since obtaining more animals and having a diabetic cat now, I have YET to get him to the vet. I DID have him on flea tick and heartworm prevention last year, however. He IS kennel trained, and has only had one poop accident in the time of having him. He does amazing for letting me dremel his nails, baths, and brushouts. Marshall would make a great hiking companion for a single person or young couple. He needs more one on one training and time outside of the kennel. I have two older female American Pit Bull Terriers who are dog selective and require me to crate and rotate all my dogs. He has hardly been allowed to free roam indoors, but gets to on occasion if I'm standing around or I have him tethered to the couch. He can go with his kennel and belly bands. I will let him go for free if you can provide vet records/references. If it doesn't work out, I will gladly take him back. He deserves the best and I feel like I'm depriving him of any chance of flourishing because life changed so suddenly on my end. Yes, I have reached out to rescues only to be denied. I am located in Hope Mills. Please email or text me and introduce yourself/potential homing situation. I'm not one to hardly ever rehome, but I realize he might enjoy life better off elsewhere with someone who can make him their whole world, he absolutely deserves it. I might cry, but I think I'll be okay knowing he'll have a better life elsewhere. Located in Hope Mills 910-785-0560 message snohomish10 about this ad |
