Furthermore, there are adjustments that can be made to the regulation of pianos that are described in books on how to tune, repair and regulate pianos. It is one thing to go by what a book says, and quite another thing to know what definitely works. Really fine adjustments can only be made by someone who truly knows how to play the piano in a variety of styles.
