Meet Smokey, a 21 month old Pitweiller. He is a very large, handsome, cuddle bug. Extremely agile, loyal, protective and loving. He trains easily and aims to please. He is a true hybrid, bred from pure female Rottweiler and pure male Blue Nose Pitbull. Both breeds are dominant, strong willed dogs with a high prey drive so it is important to have responsible and effective experience with dominant breeds. They are not for everyone. These dogs require regular, strict training and socializing beginning at 6 weeks. They are happiest and secure with a strong, consistent, compassionate leader and daily interactive exercise.
I cross-bred the two breeds after doing a lot of research and finding that the cross breeding benefits both breeds on every level. The life expectancy of a Rottweiler is 8 years, maxing out at 10 years and the life expectancy of the Blue Nose Pitbull is 14 years, giving these great dogs a few more great and healthier years with us. The most common health issues of both breeds have also been reportedly reduced as well as some of the less desirable characteristics, like agression and stubbornness. Rottweilers are far stronger than Pitbulls, but Pitbulls have far more stamina, making a stronger dog with more stamina. The weaknesses of each breed undeniably strengthened. The AKC has reported favorably on this hybrid and is considering recognizing the breed baring restrictions on how they are bred and being able to trace them back to pure Rottweiller and pure Blue Nose Pitbull. The Blue Nose variety has had the best results for improving both breeds and is therefore specific to the hybrid. The pure offspring hybrid can be bred only with the pure offspring of another true hybrid (50/50 Rottweiller/Blue Nose Pitbull) to continue the pure breeding process of Pitweiller to Pitweiller, if that's what you're interested in. Not that they cannot be bred with other breeds but doing so would not produce a "pure" Pitweiller and characteristics to each breed should be considered for the health and strength of the offspring. These dogs are not a breed for everyone and certainly not for first time dog owners. Responsible breeding and puppy placement is crucial for the safety of the dog and their people. These dogs are extremely strong, far more than both of their parents and can easily cause injury without trying or intending to harm, so I cannot express enough, that making the decision to take on one of these dogs, either as a pet, as a working dog, or both should not be made lightly. The choice to breed them carries the responsibility to place them accordingly, ensuring a good and safe fit for the dogs and their people.
That being said, Smokey trains easily and aims to please. He gets along well with his fearless Pitweiller brother and his Rottweiler mom, but can sometimes be a bit of a bully, standing off to exercise his dominance, over toys , food and passage, but is quickly quelled with a stern NO! He is also a very high jumper and not being fixed he's got that drive to "chase tail and nail" He can't help it, it's in his . I have raised my fence twice, now at 7ft and he easily hops over it from a sitting position, like it's nothing! I'm thinking invisible fencing, but these dogs don't feel pain and I doubt the zap would even phase him. Until I figure it out, I have to leash him even in our fenced in yard, or I'll be chasing him all over the neighborhood while he seeks to sow his wild oats. He has mated successfully his very first and only time, so far, producing 8 beautiful puppies from one tie. Amazing! He was very emotional about it, crying with tears streaming down his worried face as he checked each one when they were born. I was stunned by his emotional response and the tenderness he showed the Dam and the pups. Did I mention what a sensitive guy he is? Very compassionate, very sentimental, and a huge big baby, only making him a far more fierce guard dog and protector of pack/family-members, all of which he would lay down his life for.
I am limiting stud to only 3 times before I get him neutered to prevent over breeding.
The price of $500 is firm for one time tie with an agreement to ensure of all offspring. Once proof of is obtained and submitted to me for each and every adopted puppy from the litter, $200 will be returned to you, so long as the pups are all sterilized by 6 months old and the documents are submitted within 30 days of the 6 month deadline.
The price to stud with intention to breed, limited to no more than three litters, with offspring homed only to non- breeders who you promise to require to provide proof of by 6 months, is $1500 firm.
The pricing and agreement to sterilize and/or limit breeding to sterilized pups is to prevent overbreeding and abuse of these wonderful yet very powerful and potentially highly dangerous dogs and is not negotiable. I don't mean to harp, but If you've ever had one of these dogs, you'd know the attachment to every pup in the litter and to lose one of your dog's adopted pups to police shooting because the owner was unable to control and stop his dog from killing another dog even though he was attacked by the other dog, then you'd understand why it's so important to understand the breed, the necessary training and the risks of and responsibility involved, and limit the breeding responsibly.
Some might ask, why breed them? Because they are great dogs for few people. For me, I was the victim of a heinously violent crime that has left me disabled and crippled by Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. My attacker is in prison, however the effects of his handiwork live on. I have a Rottweiler and two Pitweilers. They are packed up and no one gets in their yard or their house without losing a limb, except me. This allows me to sleep at night, allows me to dismiss every little noise that would normally send me off the deep end hunting for answers about its origin, because I have learned to trust that my dogs will alert me if there is anything to worry about, reducing my stress over absurd bullcrap immeasurably. I'm sure there are plenty of other reasons why someone would find these dogs necessary for their security and useful for their wellbeing, this is just my reason. I don't know what I'd do without them. They each go with me everywhere, on a of who's turn it is, but there's always one with me when I'm out and about, and two left to guard the house.
Sorry so lengthy, I just didn't want to leave anything out.
Thank you for taking the time to read everything and for considering this handsome stud for service.
