message mrgnp9785 about this ad Azula is a spayed, retired conformation show champion American Pit Bull Terrier who received multiple Best in Show trophies, but her original owner could no longer keep her, when they moved to an apartment. She was rehomed to an individual in another state, but that person was unable to afford an emergency surgery to save Azulas life. I stepped in and paid for her surgery and have fostered her while assessing her personality and needs for her final home. She is crate trained, housebroken, and an absolute lap dog. The moment you sit down, shes in your lap like a cat. She is good with children age 7 and up (she is a bit too active for younger children, but she loves them She was raised with three kids and has done great with mine, as well. She would make a phenomenal active companion for someone looking for a jogging/hiking buddy. She is dog-selective. She gets along with most dogs, but does not usually like other females and sometimes gets a little too rough when playing, so interactions must be monitored with other dogs. No dog parks. She can be a little stand-offish at first (shes been through a lot) but warms up very quickly. She is extremely athletic and capable of jumping fences with ease, so she should not be left in a yard without some supervision. She will chase small animals, so I recommend a home with no cats. She is up-to-date on heartworm and flea/tick prevention, up-to-date on intestinal deworming, and up-to-date on rabies vaccination. She will not be rehomed with her trophies or ribbons, as those were left with her original family. I can provide a copy of her registration certificate and may be able to obtain her championship certificate from the registration office. Her rehoming fee is $100, to hopefully ensure a home that is financially capable and respectful of her needs. I ask that I receive occasional updates on her and that she be returned to me if the new owner cannot keep her for any reason.
