Alaskan Malamute/German Shepherd Mix Looking for the Right Home
Posting for a family member who is looking to find the right home for their female Alaskan Malamute/German Shepherd mix. She will be turning 2 years old in August.
She is up to date on her vaccinations and deworming and is crate trained. She is also house trained for the most part, although she definitely prefers spending time outdoors.
She is NOT aggressive or mean, but she is a very energetic, excited girl who still needs work on her manners and basic obedience. Because of her size and energy level, she needs someone who is experienced with large, strong breeds and confident handling dogs.
She absolutely loves children, but because she can be very energetic and excitable, she will not be placed in a home with small children.
She also has a high prey drive, so that is something any potential home will need to understand and be prepared to manage appropriately.
Most importantly, she will NOT go to just anyone. We are looking for someone who is genuinely experienced, patient, and willing to put the proper time and training into her. This needs to be the right fit for both her and her new family, and we will be selective about where she goes.
