Tess is a UKC registered Dutch Shepherd who was surrendered to me during a training program. shes about a year old and her owner decided she was too much dog for him and his grandmother at this point and wanted her to go to a home that can fulfill her needs. Im am holding on to her until such a home comes up. A little about her! She is a year old (as previously stated) and is intact. Shes had 1 heat so far, and is about due for another one. Shes utd on shots, has some basic OB, and no previous exposure to bite work or any sports. Shes on the unconfident side (she was a wash out pup from a working dog breeder) and recovers a little slower than I would want from a working dog. She does have good drive though, and can push through certain obstacles when in drive that would otherwise be hard for her, and now that I have her Ill be working her through those issues. She is healthy, no allergies that I know of OTHER than the metal in the chrome Hermsprenger collars. She gets itchy spots from it and will itch it raw. She will need either the stainless steel or bronze one I think. She would do best in an experienced household who is willing to put the time in to physically and mentally fulfill her. I havent tested her with other dogs yet or children, but I would make an educated guess and say small dogs and small children are a no. All in all, she is a really sweet dog going through an adolescent stage. Her lack of confidence could be either handler created or something she was born with, I havent worked with her enough yet to know for sure. I do think its something she will grow out of with age and work though. She comes with food, a crate, leash & collar, and some of her favorite toys.
