message jalantz about this ad Baby Cape Parrot (P. fusicolis) Available! Cape Parrots are a member of the genus Poicephalus, they are native to South Africa and are absolutely stunning. Females will maintain an orange head as they mature, males will molt into a beautiful silver head. They are slightly smaller than a Congo African Grey, and they make outstanding companions. They are funny, outgoing, and curious. They have the potential of becoming great talkers if you work with them. We sometimes call them large Caiques because of their playful mannerisms. In our 30 years of breeding parrots we have not found a better all-around parrot companion. They are not known to be as emotionally demanding as some other species, but still require lots of time and commitment. We are handfeeding three 4 week old babies that were hatched in July, scheduled to be weaned in late October. Two very colorful females from February also available.
