Fernando and Monty are very nice-looking ram lambs. Fernando is a Black and tan Mouflon. He is Icey Shetland(75% Icelandic and 25% ShetlandMonty is 37.5% Icelandic,37.5% Cheviot and 25% shetland. Both are heritage breeds. Monty is white and looks like a cheviot while his twin sister looks like an Icelandic.
Cheviots have great parasite resistance.
Shetlands have better parasite resistance as lambs than purebred Icelandics which makes the mixes a great choice since you get the colors and the resistance.
Icelandics are a heritage breed that does well on pasture and hay. They are sheared twice a year and their fleeces go for $15-25 per pound. Sheep are flock animals and need to have a fellow buddy to hang around with all the time.
