Meet Sammy Sweetheart, the sweetest btch you'll ever meet!
Once partnered with a cage mate named Ron (Rahn, stop it makes sense that the two of them needed to be separated for their own good, but this girl is looking for a buddy, whether it be a new boyfriend or best friend, but if you're not an experienced parrot owner, you can get the fck out of her face! Desire to bond: 10/10 Curiosity: 10/10 Hand tameness: 5/10 Behavioral issues: 0/10 Apartment/townhouse compatibility: 8/10 Ratchet Ringneck attitude: 10/10 She is: An annoyed, couped up bird with the wrong owner. As a Ringneck, she makes Ringneck noises to get the attention she craves but is not receiving from me. She is semi hand tame in that she will allow pets and cuddles from inside her cage, but she cannot yet step up. This is where you'll come in. You are: Someone who is not looking to breed her with another bird, ask me for a discount without showing interest in any other moving pieces, or request that I hang onto her for weeks for you while you gather payment, make space, or obtain approval AKA you are making serious inquiries only. This girl will let you know when she needs attention and there's no such thing as a quiet bird, but you already know that as an experienced parrot owner, and you're prepared to work through the loud times with an Indian Ringneck by offering her interaction and love. Please do not live at home with your parents or have a roommate. I am: Someone who has been in the bird rescue and ownership community for over 15 years. I've rescued and transported 50+ birds and owned 20. I am not elite and I don't claim my bird care to be, but I do claim my love to be. What you might see in my bird cages and even Sammy's is toys and other items that may be deemed incompatable to their necessary care, but what you don't see in snapshots is the love and care I offer to each and every one of my birds throughout their lives.
Why she's being rehomed: I bit off more than I could chew and unfortunately inherited 2 large family birds after her. I "always wanted" a ringneck and by the time I finally got one, I was too burnt out to give her what she deserves; interaction, hand taming, and time out of her cage, and after 2 years of ownership, it's time for me to recognize she needs a new home.
My availability: weeknights, weekends, and some weekdays for the right opportunity.
My location: Kipling and Morrison Rd in Lakewood Colorado.
Asking: $500 for Sammy, her cage, supply of food/peanuts/millet, and supply of toys she has enjoyed in my care.
If Sammy Sweetheart sounds like a good fit for you, please reach out!
