Rehoming Pax is a very difficult decision, but I know finding the right home is what is best for him. With my full-time work schedule, I simply dont have the appropriate amount of time to give Pax the structure, attention, and consistency he needs.
Pax is a German Shepherd with special behavioral needs and a history of fear-based aggression and a bite history. He has had extensive training, is basket-muzzle trained, is fully vetted and current on all preventatives, and is currently on an anxiety medication regimen to help support his behavioral needs.
He needs an experienced owner who understands German Shepherds and, ideally, has experience working with fear-based aggression and dogs with bite histories. He needs someone patient, confident, consistent, and willing to continue the training and management he requires.
Pax has been around other dogs but requires slow introductions and supervision.
A veterinary reference will be required, and I will be very selective about his placement. The goal is to find someone who is truly equipped to meet his needs and provide the time and environment he deserves.
