They can be used for many different animals and the layout currently is set up for cats. Each cage has a solid bottom, which is easily removable for cleaning or can be replaced with a wire bottom and there is a space for a tray underneath. But these units do not come with wire bottoms or trays. I have four separate units each of which is made up of four cages. The four cages can separate in half for ease of transportation. During use they lock together to form a solid unit of four cages. In my photographs they are lined up side-by-side but not locked together. In one of the photos you can see the yellow locking mechanism up close. each cage also has a sitting shelf on the back halfway up. Also there is a removable partition between the top two cages and a removable partition between the bottom two cages so they can be opened up to form two large cages rather than four smaller ones. each cage is 31" x 31" x 31 $800 for each unit of four cages. you can text me direct for quicker response at 989-307-5970 mike
