Snowshoe Traits: Snowshoes are a variation of Siamese that carry white spotting genes (most commonly the mitf gene resulting in the signature white paws, inverted facial blaze, and darker body points. Balinese Influence: Though not long-haired, the males carry the Balinese (longhair Siamese) gene, which is expressed through a plush, fine, semi-long coat that has a downy, silky texture. While the kittens do not have full Balinese coats, their fur is visibly denser and fluffier than the traditional short-haired Siamese.
