Rehoming Yellow-Naped Amazon (13 y/o Male) Full Setup Included $1,500
I am rehoming my 13-year-old male Yellow-Naped Amazon to a permanent, experienced home. This is not a rushed decision. I will be selective about placement.
Health: Overweight but steadily improving. No plucking. No chronic screaming. Generally happy disposition.
Diet: Pellets, vegetables, fruits, and occasional seed mix for foraging.
Flight: Fully flighted but rarely chooses to fly unless startled.
Temperament: Strongly bonds to one person. Can be protective and will bite if overstimulated. Not a beginner bird.
He is intelligent, interactive, and food-motivated. He enjoys shower time (will sit on the curtain rod and sing outdoor sun time, and being petted. He is generally quiet for an Amazon.
He tolerates a full-time work schedule but would benefit from more engagement and structured activity than I am able to provide with upcoming longer workdays.
I have had him for 5 years. He is bonded to me and new handlers will need to earn trust before expecting consistent handling without bites. I have worked with him extensively and his bites are now controlled and rarely escalate. He does not draw blood with me.

Rehoming fee: $1,500 for everything. I prefer to keep the setup together to ease his transition.
