Free to a good home!
We are looking for a loving new home for our 2-year-old mini red retriever/doodle mix. We have had her since she was a puppy, so this is an extremely difficult decision for us and one we are not making lightly.
She is an incredibly loving and loyal dog. She absolutely loves being around people and will happily be right by your side whenever she can. She has a lot of energy and would do best with someone who has the time and space for her to run, play, and get plenty of attention.
She is crate trained and leash trained. She also does very well off leash in our yard and comes running back when called. She is smart, playful, affectionate, and loves people.
She is great with children and has never shown aggression toward kids or other animals. She loves other dogs and even gets along with cats. Because she gets very excited and can jump when playing, I would recommend a home with toddlers/older children rather than a baby or very small child. She does not nip or bite when playingshe is simply an energetic, excited dog.
She is:
- 2 years old
- Roughly 25lbs (medium sized)
- Spayed
- Microchipped
- Vaccinated (vaccines have been administered at home using Tractor Supply vaccines)
- Crate trained
- Leash trained
- Good with kids
- Good with dogs
- Good with cats
- Very affectionate and people-oriented
She will also come with her crate, leash, toys, training collar, food/water bowls, food, and her other belongings.
Reason for rehoming
My wife has had a very complicated pregnancy and will have physical limitations for quite some time after our baby arrives. I also travel frequently for work. Between a newborn, me being away, limited space, and the amount of attention and exercise she deserves, we have come to the difficult realization that we simply wont be able to give her the life she needs.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with her and this is not due to behavioral problems We would much rather find her a home with someone who genuinely wants an affectionate, energetic companion and has the time and space to give her the attention she deserves.
Finding the right home is much more important to us than simply finding her a home.
