French Bulldog (male, fixed) -- $600

Great dog, just not compatible with our existing pup. Family we got him from has yet to get back to me about taking him back so Im posting in the event that they give me the okay to rehome. He is warm, safe, fed in the meantime but unfortunately spending more time than Id hoped separated and crated from our existing dog. Each attempt at introducing them gets better with each try, but they are only tolerating each other. They pant near each other considering they had a couple power struggles, even when laying down. They definitely stress each other out. He deserves more, which is what I thought I could give him! But my existing dog is acting unlike himself even with his humans, and the intention was to get him a friend. So if he isnt even enjoying the change, I need to pivot.
He is current on most vaccinations although he will need to be updated on his rabies shot. He is fixed. About 27lbs. Black/tan. Not papered. Great with kids and adults, just not a fan of my male unaltered French bulldog. He was oily, dehydrated and skinnier than ideal when I met him. He is loving nutritionally appropriate home cooked meals. He is filling out, hydrated and his coat is looking much better.
On his own, he is a marvelous family dog. He knows sit, lay down and gently takes treats from even the littlest of hands. He loves to be loved on and is great off leash. He has a great recall.
But having another male in the home is stressful for him. Perhaps a female would make for a better life partner, but definitely not my existing pet.
I will be selective. While I know he might be better suited for a family where he is the only pet (previous owner said he had fun playing their cat, cat didnt like it and he failed to understand that I will keep him safe and cared for until I find his ideal family.
