message hghlndshshmstd about this ad Edit : three males and one female left from a healthy litter of 10. Orange collar male (Max) is a blue brindle and going to be a real stunner. They have been well socialized and all are suited for either pet or working homes. Available for adoption are some truly unique and stunning livestock guardian pups. The dam is half Great Pyrenees and half Caucasian Shepherd, resulting in a beautiful and unusual mix, with her pretty, dark mask and enchanting grey-green eyes. She has a pleasant, mellow, and docile temperament. She is beautiful inside and out. The sire is a purebred Maremma sheepdog. He is incredibly good natured, with a heart of gold. He acts sort of like an oversized Golden Retriever. Very jolly and even keeled. Both parents were raised as house dogs, but are now working the sheep pasture and are excellent at their job. They can even be trusted around poultry. They have no prey drive whatsoever. The adult dogs pictured are the parents. And yes you counted puppies right- this is a litter of TEN and they are all thriving. Mama Mishka is doing the most incredible job. Though these pups are marketed as livestock guardians, they would certainly be just as happy being pets, guarding a yard and humans they love. As mentioned, both parents started their careers as pets, and most of their puppies do end up in pet homes and do really well. Many of our puppies end up in Minnesota of all places, and are used to keep their humans safe from bears and mountain lions while hiking. Others are couch potatoes. All are beloved by their families. They are very versatile. They are so much more than farm dogs. I would say 95% of them end up as pets in homes over guardians in pastures and they do great. They have medium energy and low to no prey drive which makes them very pleasant to work with. Pups come vet checked and up to date with dewormers and vaccines. They will be ready to go to their forever homes just after the new year. I am also a dog trainer, so these pups come with a major head start in crate training and housebreaking. They will already have a routine when you get them and an idea of basic obedience. Microchipping is available for an additional $50. Serious inquiries only. message hghlndshshmstd about this ad |
